"The Touch"

I have known great pain,

substantial anguish tears at me.

But with me a touch of your hand

shall shatter all that ails me.

You bring into my life great joy

a joy that engulfs the pain in my world.

I have been brought back to life,

life that was cold and gray,

is now electrified and on fire.

A fire that burns in reality. . . .

A fire that has not destroyed nerve endings,

but excites until my heart beats faster,

until I lose my breath and lose consciousness,

when I wake we kiss and the journey starts over. . .
