As the clock on the wall strikes 6,
I wonder where you are ,
how you are doing in the world.
If you are happy and loved,
or you feel as I do,
alone in a changing world.
The sunlight fades in the bedroom,
you are not here,
enjoying the passionate night.
As the night gets darker, deeper,
so does the pain
in my once alive humanity.
I awake to a brand new morning,
your side of the bed
is as empty, cold as my soul.
Even the smell of brewing coffee
reminds me of you,
so I quit drinking it for life.
They say emotional pain lasts longer,
without you now
the pain strikes always at 6.
