The color of our thin skin is human,
We have a spirit as wide as the night.
Creativity is not inhuman,
It leads us into the brightest sunlight.
Our emotions are an epiphany,
All along the watch tower we create.
Shall we truly find pure serenity,
As we saunter through heaven's pearly gate.
Kaleidoscopic colors black through red,
The realistic rainbow of humankind.
Yet we let prejudice play with our heads,
As we let racist remarks do remind.
The color of your soul is who you are,
Can a lifetime of love remove the scars?. . .
