I am on the wrong side of heaven
and hell is tearing at my soul.
It's a quarter after eleven,
there's forty five minutes to go.
at the strike of twelve,
I'll be journeying in hell.
The wind will no longer blow,
in the darkness I'll walk alone,
true harshness will chill my bones.
Journeying to a false paradise,
where demons are already in control.
Here fire does not melt ice,
where the righteous play the fool.
Do you hear it, the theft of my spirit,
the deafening silence, can you hear it?
No more love is alive,
just lost the will to survive,
a place where good and evil collide.
It's closer than you think,
just take one more drink. . .
